Astilbe Montgomery 1G (Astilbe japonica 'Montgomery')

Great in shady gardens, where they perform well if given rich, moist soil and regular watering. With full plumes of deep cherry red, over a bushy mound of lacy green leaves. Also works in tubs or mixed containers. May tolerate full sun in cooler months but prefers full to filtered shade.
